December 21, 2002 // 12:29 a.m. The moon don't hang quite as high as it used to. did the moon look unnaturally beautiful in anyone else's sky tonight? the panorama high above me seems to define my moods and philosophy of late, but very seriously, the moon appeared a strange shade of yellow tonight, twice as large as usual and close enough to touch with a good stretch. anyone else reporting such strange occurrances? sometimes i really do think some crazy being with a sense of humor out there is trying to give me a hint. after a week of obsessive waiting, i finally got my grades today. they were the best i could have hoped for, pulling off a's in five out of six classes overall, including political behavior and european feminism which i thought were close to b's. i must have kicked some serious ass finals week. yet, even though this was by far my best semester yet with a 3.7 over 18 credit hours, i'm slightly disappointed. because i got an a- in masculinity in film, my favorite class, the one i worked hardest in, the one that revealed my true calling [of the month]. i don't know if it was my final paper or our movie that brought my a down... anyone else in my group experiencing a lower-than-expected final grade? oh well. good showing overall. tomorrow i'm scheduled to work only seven hours. in at 10, which seems late; out at 5, which seems early. almost as good as a day off! no whining today. the rain's gonna wash away, i believe it. |
