The obligatory new diary entry

so, about a year and a half after i began the great new diary project, and long after you lost interest or even forgot about it, open-book premieres! see if you can muster a lame pro-golf clap at least, make me feel a little special. ;)

back when i first started this, i just know i had an excellent, insightful first entry written in my head, but i've long since forgotten. nothing too compelling now, folks. so if it's content you're looking for, i've spent the last several weeks archiving the old entries from fake-plastic and chicabotica, so you can hit that prev button to your heart's content. that or wait till later tonight when i gripe about my poor sick 'tang baby and having to take him to the transmission doctor. i know, the possibilities are almost too much to handle.

i'm not real wild about this layout - it's kinda sloppy so i'll probably revamp it in a couple weeks. but the song - 'open book' by cake - yes, i think the song will be enough to make me keep this diary for more than five months. well, maybe. unless i think of a better idea.

She's writing, she's writing, she's writing a novel
She's writing, she's weaving, conceiving a plot
It quickens, it thickens, you can't put it down now
It takes you, it shakes you, it makes you lose your thought

But you're caught in your own glory
You are believing your own stories
Writing your own headlines
Ignoring your own deadlines
But now you've gotta' write them all again.

You think she's an open book
But you don't know which page to turn to, Do you?

You want her, confront her, just open your window
Unbolt it, unlock it, unfasten your latch
You want it, confront it, just open your window
All you really have to do is ask

But you're caught in your own glory
You are believing your own stories
Timing your contractions
Inventing small contraptions
That'll roll across your parlor's hardwood floors

You think she's an open book
But you don't know which page to turn to, do you?

have a look around, enjoy! look for more pointful updates in the future!
