September 3, 2003 // 1:48 a.m. I wonder if I've ever designed a layout before midnight. Hmm. I do not need to state the obvious: instead of finishing The Revengers Tragedy, I have designed myself a new layout. Surprisingly, this was perhaps the quickest I have made a design, leaving me with a decent amount of sleep and plenty of time to get the gist of the play in the morning. Anyway - there is tweaking to be done. And I'm not really sure about the image. Or the layout. Or anything, really... Suggestions, comments are most welcome. Does the image take half an hour to load? I am spoiled by my LAN or my ethernet, or whatever it is that makes my computer fast. I don't know computers. So I guess the only thing I'm thrilled about with this layout is the new song lyrics... Though the Cake song ('you think she's an open book, but you don't know which page to turn to, do you?') was perfect and the whole reason this diary is named what it is, I was in the mood for a change. And this song has become over the past several months a sort of personal anthem - a good contrast between who I am today and a few dreams for the future, basically summing up my general disposition in a powerful and inspiring tune. It is Bruce Cockburn's latest, called 'Open,' an amazing song no illegal mp3 collection should be without. Open I never live with balance I never live with balance Open, open... I never live with balance It’s daylight in the city Open, open... You like to let me worry The street is filled with noises Open, open... |
