Last night I went to a party at Beth's apartment, and I absolutely had a blast. Yes, I've had some alcohol before, and yes, I've even had a slight buzz once or twice, but last night was probably the first time I'd ever approached the realm of actual drunkenness. And it was great. :)

I got a lot of comments like Jonas' 'Lauren! I've never seen you at a social function before!' and Crystal's 'When you were a freshman, I never thought we'd be drinking together.' Josh, Lani and I all admitted we were a bit 'green'... but I'd say we got over that pretty quickly.

After 2 1/2 wine coolers and two shots I was just at the point where I felt good, a little off balance, but completely in control. And after such a week, it was exactly what I needed. I learned that I love everyone when I'm drunk - though I do genuinely love just about everyone who was there soberly, too. I also learned that I call everyone by their first and last names when I'm drunk. I'm not a crazy drunk, I'm not a depressed drunk - I just had a lot of fun.

The game of Kings was very informative - I think I took to that one quite well (Josh! Never have I ever engaged in any form of sexual congress with someone I met over the internet. haha...). I had a great conversation with Jonas about penis preferences, found out I have a lot in common with Crystal, had a good conversation with Beth after everyone had left except Josh and I. It was just a great time.

So I'm a little upset with myself that it took me this long to finally, yes, attend a social function. And it's very sad for me that it took me this long to get to know people like Miranda and Beth (and Jim and Jane, who weren't there), and I'll be going abroad next semester and then they'll graduate. But I guess I'll just have to make the most of this semester. And, as Melissa and I were saying, we are going to have a blast our senior year.

Anyway, just wanted to put this fun little event down for posterity. ;) Thank you to everyone involved - you're all fucking awesome.
