October 13, 2004 // 10:20 a.m. And so it is like you said it would be. Some things consuming my attention at the moment. I <3 Huckabees had something like the 16th highest gross ever in limited release, and I believe it's going wide on the 22nd. Existential detectives, raaaaaaaa! I heart this movie already. New Scientist article on asexuality going to press this upcoming week! This is very, very exciting. I'm making myself available to reporters through AVEN and I'm willing to give up anonymity entirely. Soon, I expect the only thing you're going to find when you Google my full name is sound bites on asexuality. This is equally wonderful and terrifying, but mostly I'm ecstatic to be on the front lines of something I feel is very important. Online Post-It notes are the best thing ever. I could listen to a playlist consisting entirely of 'Sleepsinging' by the Damnwells, 'Somebody Told Me' by the Killers, 'Picture Book' by the Kinks and 'The Blower's Daughter' by Damien Rice fifty times consecutively and never get tired of it. Don't think I've yet written about this here: I am definitely pursuing a MS in library science and a career as an archivist. I'm so ready to not be an undergrad, to have a job and a small apartment in a city, and do my own thing. I've been having small nervous breakdowns lately and freaking out about things like electronic equipment. Must stop leaving voicemails for people I respect and expect to write grad school recommendations for me when I'm in the middle of such attacks. Honors House West Wing party next week, yes? Ohhh yes. Followed that weekend, hopefully, by Huckabees opening somewhere within 2 hours of here! Hope. Caffeine get me through the day. I don't know that I've had a piece of fruit in the last two weeks. 'Maps' by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs is pretty good, too. You can see I'm running out of things. Right, off to French. |
