A new topic scheduled to appear sometime in May 2004.

My third (of at least ten) "final" schedule is as follows:

(Really, I know nobody could possibly care, but it is after all my diary, and scheduling is my one enduring, all-consuming obsession.)

Fall:
Geology -- mmm, rocks once again. Jackie doesn't seem too optimistic about PBK, but recommends it just in case. With my homegirl, shouldn't be too hellacious, I hope...
French 101 -- This seems a random addition to the schedule. But I do want to learn French to one day appreciate all my most beloved feminists in their own language (can't get the full, uncut version of The Second Sex in English, after all), and when will I ever be motivated enough to learn it myself? Plus, again, with Lani and Josh, come on.
Classical Political Thought -- Mmmm, the great classical fascists.
Capstone -- Trading insults about presidential candidates with those "in the know" before every class. And for three hours straight. I love being perpetually one of two liberals in every class.
American Leaders in Gender Issues -- a) because it's 300-level and my schedule looks weak (to me, I guess?) b) because I don't think I could take another 3-hour night class w/ K c) I think it has a more rigid, structured approach than the night class, which is something Dr. K desperately needs. So, on the whole, a better choice than Love & Addiction, though it shall be without my dear homegirl.

Spring:
History of Religion in the US -- Interesting and potentially practically (in my decidedly non-practical way) useful
French 102
Modern Political Thought -- Modern fascists! Rock on for that.
Notable American Women -- Ok, me, Lani, Josh, and Mrs. Dr. O'. I don't think I need to say any more to express how very, very hard this is going to rock for three hours every Monday night. For this class, I'll even give a speech.
Human Sexuality -- I might still try to beg out of this class, but I might as well suck it up... Halfway through my honors thesis, I'll be glad I signed up for a walk of a 100-level course.

Implications:
-- No more DHS, and now no more Katy. A sad, sad state of affairs.
-- French conflicts with Existentialism. That is painful. But I suppose I could just as well read more deeply into the subject myself, without it being peppered with insights about Itzk0witz's cats.
-- Jackie said NO (her word, caps hers) to Women & US Politics as an independent study, which is crappy because a) it's the one area where my major and my interests actually collide and b) I'll miss taking a course from her my last semester, but if that's the way it has to be, no way am I giving up the non-stop partay that will be Notable American Women.
-- American Leaders in Gender Issues and Notable American Women might be the same exact course, but I see the slight distinction. You have to really want to see it.

Ok, so, that might be it, but then again, I'm still me, so you never really know.

PS, I am officially booked for every leg of my TEN DAY ROMP THROUGH SOUTHERN ENGLAND with Lani and Josh. One month from today!! I am at least twenty different kinds of excited.

And I'm out.
