Homeward bound

i should totally be revising my dhs paper right now. but it's 'only' 9:20. and i'm too excited right now to concentrate anyway.

I'M GOING HOME TOMORROW!

yep. lauren is driving to bg tomorrow, and she has to pass right through my town to get there, so i'm going to have her drop me off on the way. i haven't been overwhelmingly homesick lately, but it's going to be so good to see my mom. this time tomorrow night, we'll be out on girls' night out! aaaah! yay.

my mom wasn't home when i tried to call her... twice. so finally i just said, 'if you won't pick up i'm just going to have to tell you on the answering machine, and it won't be nearly as fun that way.' dramatic pause. 'i'm coming home tomorrow. bye!'

she called me back a couple minutes later. she was at walmart, looking at supplies to make baby blankets for janice (awwww... she's gonna be such a grandma). she thought i was joking, to get her to call me back. i assured her i was really coming (so many weak linking verbs... ack!), and she's so excited. she's not going to tell steven so i can surprise him when he comes home from school tomorrow. (i'll just be sitting there on the couch, casually: 'what's up?' hehe) and it's a perfect time to go home, because janice and chad are coming on saturday night! so very yay.

dhs' class was so funny today, even though i'm realizing now that i've never actually been taught how to write. this is the funniest thing ever. someone was trying to write something like 'they grouped indians, outlaws and animals together' but instead wrote 'groped...' i was dying, because the moment she wrote 'grouped' on the board i knew what was coming. tears in my eyes. the next sentence was, 'the indians were especially upset by this.'

oh, that econ test yesterday? i totally aced it. only one question i wasn't sure of. don't let them fool you: PROCRASTINATION PAYS!

and i guess, whether i philosophically agree with it or not, my mind was made for social science. at least i've figured out that much so far...

another good thing about going home tomorrow is you all won't have the chance to get me sick! :) just kidding. wow, i can't believe how many people aren't feeling well right now. i hope you guys get well soon!

gotta go finish my paper now, and then pack! see y'all tomorrow - and hope you have as good a weekend as i'm sure i will! :)

home, where my thought's escaping. home, where my music's playing. home, where my love lies waiting silently for me.
